Tucked in the corner of the historic Praca do Municipio square in the Baixa Chiado area of Lisbon, is the elegantly renovated AlmaLusa guesthouse. Inhabiting a stunning 18th-century building, AlmaLusa is an experience from the moment one sets foot in the grand and pedestrianized square upon approach, to entering it's soulfully decorated foyer rich with texture and story. Housed in a listed building atop the site of Lisbon's old arsenal, this sophisticated hotel blends together rustic, minimalist, and luxury design and incorporates original architectural elements such as original flagstone floors and tile work, huge recessed fireplaces and charming Juliet balconies. Impressively located in the heart of Lisbon, just one block from the river Tagus and the main square, Praça do Comércial, there are fantastic restaurants, shops, stunning monuments and attractions just a stone's throw away. It is the perfect launch pad to explore this special city.

Portugese soul is the cornerstone aesthetic of the 28 room hotel which exudes an aristocratic yet warm homely feel - more guest house than 5 star hotel. Everything from the high quality linens to the bath products made by the native, Castelbel, are made with Portuguese pride. The rich textures and muted colour palette of soft greys and browns gives each of the unique 28 ensuite rooms, including 12 spacious suites, a rustic elegance and luxuriously cosy feel. All the rooms come with high speed wifi, smart tv's and REVO radios, table and chairs, while the suites also include coffee machines and microwaves. Black and white tiles create a sophisticated feel in the bathrooms, all of which have walk in showers and rain-shower heads. It would be easy to linger at Almalusa from dawn to dusk.

Delfina restaurant on the ground floor is a popular hit among guests and locals alike and hums with activity at lunch hour and dinner, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere which reflects the delectable menu championing local cuisine favourites and Mediterranean classics. Whether you choose to dine at one of the myriad of brilliant restaurant options nearby or sample Delfina's elegant yet home-style spirit, the terrace invites guests to round off their evening with a drink in hand whilst enjoying the beautifully lit and quite regal square. With little to no street noise guests will also be pleased to find that Almalusa's premiere location doesn’t result in sleepless nights.
