Located in the heart of Nardò’s old baroque town between two citrus orchards, this stylish 17th Century house is a tranquil oasis with its center garden courtyard featuring a pool, multiple terraces and dining areas. Newly restored by a local architect using traditional and contemporary materials, the light and airy villa features vaulted ceilings, stone fireplaces, and antique floor tiles with the addition of all the modern conveniences. Refined and elegant in its decor, it is minimally yet exquisitely furnished with a mix of contemporary, vintage and classic pieces to create a space that is both inviting and stylish. All the ground floor rooms open onto the serene garden and pool area, while the first floor is surrounded by multiple terraces to enjoy the fabulous views of Nardo. The Agrumeto garden house is the perfect base to explore the region's many highlights, including the ancient cities and beautiful beaches.
ROOMS
There are two bedrooms with queen beds and en-suites, the master having fabulous vaulted ceilings and an entrance to the garden area while the upper bedroom is surrounded by terraces with spectacular views. Once again the decor is minimal and refined with a mix of modern and vintage pieces.
The light-filled open plan kitchen and living areas open to the lush garden and pool, as well as the al fresco dining area. There is an additional dining area on the upper terrace with a small kitchen. The modern kitchens are fully-equipped with SMEG appliances, dishwasher, espresso machine and toaster.
HIGHLIGHTs
The lush garden of citrus trees, shrubs and flowers surrounding the sun-kissed pool and shaded dining area create a relaxing space to spend the day, whether it be reading, sunbathing, swimming or eating. If views are your preference, you can take a meal or apertifs on the upper terrace, or enjoy the private terraces in solitude for meditation or sunbathing.
Centrally located in the southern part of Puglia allows for easy exploration of a plethora of quaint villages, larger baroque towns featuring exquisite architecture and a selection of beaches that include rock pools and white sand.
