Once the Cricket Club Hotel, this recently renovated boutique hotel has kept the 19th Century facade, but not much else, taking a bold approach with high quality finishes, rock star lighting and hand-crafted furniture. The sophisticated bistro menu features the best seasonal produce from Victoria and further afield – and has already won plaudits. Delicious bar snacks are also available. Fans of craft beer and premium Australian wine will be equally satisfied. The breakfast selection (served daily from 7am to 10.30am) ranges from wholesome muesli to corn and zucchini fitters and poached eggs with spicy chorizo bacon.
