Located in the heart South Africa's wine country with blissful views of the Lake Kraaiboschdam and surrounding vineyards of the Lomond Wine Estate, the modern Fynbos Suites are set high on the hills, offering panoramic views of the surrounding nature reserve. These off-the-grid villas are designed for two people, offering the unique experience of being immersed in the untouched valley, brimming with exotic and rare plant life and wildlife. In addition to the Fynbos villas, there is the main homestead with additional guestrooms and an onsite restaurant that features locally sourced and organic foods. Stay in your room and take in the secluded beauty, lounge by the picturesque pool or fill your days with horseback riding or hiking through the mountain paths, around the valley or to Pearly Beach. Set on 800 hectares, Farm 215 is the ultimate secluded hideaway, offering a luxurious getaway that is sure to help you slow down from the daily grind of life and reconnect with nature.

ROOMS

The three Fynbos suites feature a sleek, modern design with locally sourced wood, a natural color scheme and spacious open floor plan. The wall of floor to ceiling windows extends onto a covered patio, allowing the surrounding nature to be the focus. Each suite features a comfortable lounge to take advantage of the views, a wood stove to warm up the chilly nights, and ceiling fans to stay cool. The king size bed can be separated into two twins, and free cribs and infant beds are also available.

The Homestead features 3 additional rooms more traditional in design with all the modern conveniences. All rooms include a sitting area, desk, private bathroom, and wood stove and a terrace with mountain or valley views. The main unit on the ground floor features a private garden filled with bird song in the morning. The homestead is wonderful for a family reunion or for a larger group of friends who wish to stay in closer proximity to each other.

The on-site restaurant serves three meals a day, created by the splendid chef, which feature locally sourced and mainly organic produce, and freshly caught fish solely from the Green list (never from the yellow or red list). Dinner also features some of the region's finest wine.

Food allergies or vegetarian needs can easily be accommodated by the chef upon making your reservation in advance. 

Packed lunches are also available for quests on the go.

Located in Western Cape, Farm 215 is off of "Fynbos Road”, a 100km stretch of road that starts at Stanford and ends at Cape Agulhas, the southern most point of the African continent.  The property is 2 hours outside of Cape Town and just minutes away from Pearly Beach and the splendid village of Elim.

NEED TO KNOW

There are no TVs anywhere on-site, as it is encouraged to disconnect and enjoy your surroundings. Farm 215 supplies a vast collection of books to borrow during your stay.

Due to limitations of solar-power, hair dryers are not allowed in the Fynbos Suites but can be used in the Homestead.

The natural landscape of the environment as well as having stairs in the homestead make it difficult for wheelchair access.

For wine enthusiasts and foodies,  the area around Elim offers some of the best local wineries and restaurants.

Or go past Elim to visit De Hoop Marine, also known as a Whale Watcher’s paradise thanks to the De Hoop Marine’s protected area status. 

Head to Gansbaai the local fisherman’s town for even more wonderful local fisheries and fine sea food. 

Pearly Beach or Franskraal is perfect for those whose heart lies at sea. Their serene beaches are perfect for taking long walks or for checking out the local surfer scene and even seeing if you can spot penguins.  

The African Horse Company has some of the finest stables and horses around.
